Little Tokyo trip

Sorry about all this last-minute planning, guys. We had a sudden dearth of officers free on Saturday. Fear not, however, for you get the somewhat-awesome Kayla and Kelvin to lead you.

I set the map to take you to the Japanese American museum, which a) is near a cheap public parking lot ($6.50 for a day, I think), and b) across the street from where we’ll be meeting up. Remember to bring change/cash for parking.

We will be meeting up at the Pyramid at 10 AM for carpools and a caravan. At the last meeting, we realized there are a lot more people who need rides than people who have rides to offer, so if anyone else can drive people to Little Tokyo, please come. We’ll try to leave by 10:30. I will bring maps to hand out if people need. Officers: Kayla and Steven

(Also, if anyone is interested, you can get to little Tokyo via public transportation, using the Metro to get to Union Station in Los Angeles. Comment if you want the details.)

We’ll probably be getting to the meet-up spot in Little Tokyo between 11 and 11:30 for people who are coming on their own. We are meeting at the large red Japanese-style tower in front of the Japanese Village Plaza. In no particular order, we will visit the Japanese Market Plaza, Anime Jungle # and 2, and Weller Court.

Lunch will be around 1, when we hit Weller Court, but there are several food palces in the area to eat at, so feel free to wander off. Kayla, and probably Kelvin, are going to attempt the Special #2 ramen at Orochon. It will be entertaining.

After lunch, there’s Kinokuniya bookstore and Marukai market in Weller Court.
By 2:30 or 3, we’ll split into two groups: one group will head to the Japanese American museum. Note that it costs $5 is you have a school ID. The other group will go up to the arcade in the old Mall.

From here, we pretty much do as we please until we leave.

Any word on what time people are planning on leaving LA? I need a ride, but I also need to be back in Long Beach by 6pm for work...
